I've had this pain for two full weeks and it is excruciating. The only relief is when I numb it with ice. It is very painful to touch the lateral 7th cervical vertebrae and my 2nd Thoracic vertebrae. This pain goes across my supraspinatus and superior scapula and the rhomboids and the pain goes down my left arm. The nerve going down my arm burns profusely and I'm losing the ability to use my thumb and forefinger. All this is on the left side of my body (from neck to arm). I've tried massage therapy and hydrotherapy (icepacks). It subsides for a little while, then the pain returns. The pain also goes to the chest particularly on the left side where the pectoralis muscles are. I don't have health insurance. I'm 49 years old and thought I was in great health until this happened two weeks ago while having sex with my husband. (I was on top) Maybe I strained something. Help!
