ostochondritis After A Wrestling Match

Question: ostochondritis After A Wrestling Match

My freshman son was diagnosed with OstoChondritis after an injury during wrestling. Whats the best treatment and when can he get back into training

Answer:

Hi there

I am an Australian Kinesiologist/sports therapist

It would be helpfull if you could let me know which part of the body is affected. This could be the hip (Perthes disease), the tibials (Osgood-Schlatter) or the bone of the heel(Sever's disease). All these different names for the same disease. Calcium sulphate would be indicated for all these problems. Dr Schuesler Biochemical tablets are recommended. 6 tabs daily, spread out during the day. The exact location of the problem helps me determine other supplements of minerals or vitamins, and an exercise program can then be worked out.
