I have been battling Haglund's deformity on my right heel for pretty much 6-7 years, have tried every possible non surgical tx available, had success with ESWT the first time for 2 years, then it flared up again and now is being very stubborn.
I am at the point of having to decide whether to go for the surgery or figure out how to live with it. I can't figure it out-some days I would say it's getting better, then another day I am very frustrated as it seems to be no improvement. I am currently trying laser therapy.
sometimes there is a bit of a burning sensation around the bump, sometimes I feel nothing and I think I am ready to go for a run. Do people with this injury manage to live with it pain free?
