Lately when I've been running, the base of my big toe will start hurting. After I'm finished running, for days after in fact, the base of my ankle and top of my foot will be the thing hurting even when I walk. It hurts when I flex my foot upwards (if I were trying to point my toes at my head to give you an example of what type of motion causes pain). I have rested it, tried loosening my sneakers, and tried taking it easier - nothing seems to make a difference...even after a week of complete rest, 10 minutes of running starts my toe hurting again!
