how to get back into weight training after having an injury for 2 months?

Question: how to get back into weight training after having an injury for 2 months?

the past two months i have had a very small strained back muscle by my shoulderblade i injured it by doing superslow training and hyperextending on the last rep good thing it was very light weight and now that my injury has healed i am wondering how do i get back to my old training regimen which consisted of push and pull 12 sets per body part chest 12 sets, triceps 12 sets, shoulders 8 sets, back 12 sets, biceps 12 sets, and traps 4 sets. it would be an amazing help if i can get an answer in how to get back into the swing of things again. not to mention weight lifted off my shoulders from all the research i have been doing

Answer:

Hello, sorry to hear abuot your injury. I will put the question on our Twitter and Facebook pages and forward any replies to you.

I guess taking it slowly would be the obvious answer, you must have had to start somewhere when you first began weight training after all.

Can you speak to an instructor at your gym and get some advice as to how heavy to go, and how far you should push yourself? Also, they may be able to come up with a way to tweak certain movements so as to lessen the risk of the injury returning.
I do Body Pump and our instructors are great like that.
