Is doing leg weights with a inflammed itb keeping it inflammed?

Question: Is doing leg weights with a inflammed itb keeping it inflammed?

MY itb became very inflammed whilst training for a marathon. I have not ran for about 8 weeks but have been doing leg weights, ( leg ext, leg curl, leg press, calf raises) over that time. By doing leg weights is it slowing the process of the itb from not being inflammed?
