Brandon O'Neill suffers ankle injury during Olympics training
Canadian gymnast Brandon O'Neill is at risk of missing the Beijing Olympics after damaging ankle ligaments during training.
O'Neill will now miss the podium training prior to the competetion itself and a decision will be delayed until as late as possible as to whether he is fit enough to compete.

Gymnasts like Brandon O'Neill are always at risk of ankle injuries. The combination of jumping, landing and twisting involved with the different gymnastics events means that ankle ligament damage, sprained ankles and even broken ankles are common injuries associated with the sport.
